If reading a study guide and passing a 30 question test could save you thousands of dollars in potential lawsuits and legal fees, you and your staff would all do it, right?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) outlines very specific policies and procedures that every user of a consumer credit report should know and adhere to. Mistakes – intentional or not-can be expensive. There are consumers and attorneys who make a living looking for minute details that are overlooked. Don’t become a defendant!

CIC is proud to announce to our clients that through our partnership with the National Consumer Reporting Association (NCRA) ,an  FCRA certification test specifically designed to educate those in the multifamily housing industry, is now available. The test is completely free and is offered to employees and staff at all levels who process and analyze consumer reports and who are responsible for dealing with consumers and making rental decisions.

The process is as easy as “1, 2, 3”:

  1. Contact your account manager or CIC to request the study guide(s) and test(s) for you and your staff.
  2. Read through the guide
  3. Log in (information will be provided) and take the test!

A certificate worthy of framing will be delivered to each and every person who successfully passes the test.

Remember: Knowledge is power – your applicants and their attorneys have it, do you and your staff?
